Between Haussmannian tradition and modern tech.
For this flagship of more than 900m2 in the heart of the capital, the agency had to redefine the Haussmannian spirit with contemporary codes to achieve a perfect balance between authenticity and a striking contemporary design (essentiality, purity and brightness).
Located at 9 Boulevard des Capucines, just around the corner from Place de l’Opéra, Huawei benefits from a prime location in a listed building. Outside, a large crisscross arch soars over the two levels of the facade and frames the entrance to reveal large windows on both sides and excellent visibility inside the store.
The Huawei flagship is a place of discovery and experience that showcases a wide range of products and puts the spotlight on new releases.
A huge 6m high chandelier – an iconic element of the shop, visible from the entrance – extends from the ground floor to the 1st floor. Its spectacular structure – also created by Lonsdale – is composed of LED blades and mirrors that diffuse an “ambient” content.
On the ceiling, classic moldings are drawn thanks to LED tubes which delimit the interior spaces. Custom-made, the Versailles parquet floor is revisited with large oak slabs and painted concrete and the wall arches evoke the architectural codes of Parisian galleries.
The “iconic” table is accentuated by its central location as an extension of the chandelier. Visitors benefit from an immersive experience thanks to large curved screens located at the back of the store.
On the first floor, a cozier atmosphere opens onto an area of augmented reality and a photo gallery.
WHAT WE DID
It is about showing the both the international and local faces of Huawei, pushing the Huawei identity while at the same time respecting the place of origin and the local architecture.
