In a slowing home improvement market, Weldom continues to outperform with growth 6 points above the market average — a momentum largely driven by the C9 “Fabrique du Neuf” concept, launched in 2021 in partnership with Lonsdale Design | Certified B Corp™.
Designed to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency, this new retail model affirms Weldom’s role as a local, accessible, and engaged hardware retailer. Scalable across five store formats — from small neighborhood shops to metropolitan outlets — the concept adapts to local needs while reinforcing proximity and impact.
The design draws from the raw and honest codes of DIY:
– Orange connectors inspired by the logo symbolize connection — between Weldom, its customers, and the local community
– Natural wood and black metal combine warmth and industrial modernity
– Low counters echo old-fashioned hardware stores
– Kraft materials underline the brand’s CSR commitments
Dedicated spaces — such as pause areas, kids’ corners, and hands-on workshops — foster social ties and active learning.
Over 50% of Weldom stores have adopted the concept, with 40 to 60 more to follow in 2025. C9 stores show +4% to +5% growth, compared to +0.1% to +0.5% elsewhere.
