One year after opening its first Paris flagship, Huawei renewed its trust in Lonsdale to design its new flagship store in Berlin, located on the iconic Breitscheidplatz. This opening is part of the brand’s broader strategy to strengthen its B2C presence in Europe, through a consistent and recognizable retail concept.
The store is built around five immersive brand universes—Smart Office, Fitness & Health, Entertainment, Smart Home, and Simple Travel—each offering interactive experiences to showcase Huawei’s ecosystem of smartphones, wearables, and IoT products.
Lonsdale’s Retail & Architecture team infused the concept with Berlin’s cultural codes, balancing minimalist design with warm materials. A standout feature, the reimagined digital chandelier, pays tribute to the nearby Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church’s blue stained glass windows. Local influences are also expressed through furniture, lighting, and Bauhaus-inspired materials.
The result is a flagship that combines local character with global consistency, reflecting Huawei’s core DNA—a dialogue between technology and art, brought to life through immersive design and thoughtful spatial storytelling.
