Letting French design shine.

Design is back in full swing with the 1st edition of France Design Week, from September 1 to 15, 2020.

As an actor in the world of design and to support the APCI, the agency contributed to the birth of this unprecedented event in France and created France Design Week’s visual identity.

Promote design. The creation of France Design Week is one of the recommendations presented to the Ministers of Economy and Culture as part of the Assises du design*, which was held in December 2019. The APCI – Agence pour la Promotion du Design – wished to continue its work on the theme “Promoting design” by coordinating the very first edition of France Design Week, which took place from September 1 to September 15, 2020.

The identity of France Design Week is a calligram. The 3 words used in its name come together to form the outline of a letter F.

F as in France, of course, to blazon French design in all its shapes and forms, even beyond our borders! F as in Family of talents, to come together and think better about the future of design and our careers.

France Design Week aims to rally all the design actors and offer more exposure to the many design professions, all throughout France. Its logo is a minimalist, timeless, and universal sign, created to bring our mutual passion for design to life.

France Design Week is an event that is all about promoting design to professionals and raising awareness among the general public about its practice by bringing together the design world and celebrating all design fields. Professionals, the general public, and other design enthusiasts will be able to discover the initiatives of various design experts, in numerous French regions and in different formats, in a unit of time conducive to their influence, at a local, national and international level.
